Rob and Maggie Erdmann present an all new show for 2010 that is designed to
compliment your library's summer reading program.
Scare Up a Good Book! is
recommended for audiences from kindergarten through 5th grade, however
librarians often comment that the show is entertaining to all ages. (See the
testimonials page.) The show is a combination of magic, puppets, storytelling, and
audience participation. It is written to engage the audience with laughter and
encourage them to read over the summer. Two new monster puppets were added
to the cast for this show, and, of course, Vern and Shivers, the bird and mouse
puppets will be up to their shenanigans again. The show culminates when an
audience member is selected to become a wizard for the finale of the show.

Roz Erdmann, our mother and grandmother, was our
biggest fan. She came with us to our performances
whenever she could, trying to help out in any way she could.
She loved watching the children laugh and was dedicated to
helping children learn to read.
After retirement, Roz became a foster grandparent at
Mary Morgan Elementary School in Byron, IL. She
volunteered her time every day at the school, helping
kindergarteners learn how to read. She spent hours helping
in the school library. Pulling her red wagon from classroom
to classroom, she collected books from the students to
return to the library shelves. All of the students knew her as
"Grandma Roz." As a tribute to her, 48 kindergateners
placed their hand prints on the banner shown below with
messages that she is loved and will be missed.
